Dot SE Domain Names
The dot SE country-code domain extension was created in 1986 and assigned to Sweden. During the first years after its establishment, the registration process was very restrictive, so a very small number of domain names were booked. Persons were permitted to grab only one domain under .PP.SE (“pp” stands for “private person”). Local presence was a prerequisite, i.e. merely Swedish persons, businesses and organizations could obtain a .SE domain.
